Why are my emails considered Spam?
Many of you have encountered a spam problem and wonder why your email was flagged as spam. Spamming can be defined as the abusive use of an email system intended to deliberately and generally repeatedly expose all or part of its users to irrelevant and unsolicited messages or content, often by confusing them with messages or content usually exchanged or sought by these users. Repeated mass sending of unsolicited emails triggers spamming, especially when the destination email addresses have never been in contact with the senders and these emails are advertising in nature. The email address constitutes personal data within the meaning of these laws. However, very often, this collection is done wildly using "harvesting software" for addresses present on mailing lists or discussion forums. The practice of spamming therefore poses two problems with regard to the rules relating to the protection of personal data that email addresses constitute: - the conditions for collecting and using this personal data for prospecting purposes, particularly when this collection takes place in public areas of the Internet, - the assessment of the means implemented to allow the people being prospected to object ("opt-in" and "opt-out"). So to pass the anti-spam filter, several elements must be prioritized: 1. The sender name and subject line of your email, 2. The content of your email, 3. The unsubscribe link, 4. The code of your email (for the more technical), 5. Reputation of the IP address and sending domain. To avoid being flagged as spam, you can follow certain rules: 1. Always ask for your recipients' consent before sending them an email and ban any notion of buying or renting email databases, 2. Keep your recipient lists healthy: Set up double opt-in systematically, clean your recipient lists regularly and set up multiple mailing lists, 3. Manage your sending frequency respectfully: Adapt your sending frequency and understand the time between when you collect an email address and when you send your first emailing, 4. Highlight the unsubscribe link. By following these instructions, you will reduce the chances of encountering the spamming problem and can ensure successful electronic communication.
